The Climate Change and Disaster Management Division (CCDMD) of CEGIS offers specialized climate services, focusing on climate risk assessments, adaptation strategies, and disaster management. Using advanced statistical methods and state-of-the-art modeling tools, CCDMD studies hydrological systems and designs resilient infrastructure to mitigate climate impacts. Its core expertise includes climate change science, risk and vulnerability assessment, disaster risk reduction (DRR), and early warning systems. CCDMD develops high-resolution climate databases, sea-level rise projections, and resilience guidelines for key sectors like water, infrastructure, agriculture, ecosystem, biodiversity, firesides, livestock, livelihood, and urban planning. By integrating innovative research and capacity-building initiatives, CCDMD supports informed decision-making, sustainable development, and community resilience.
