Development of Landslide Risk Profile, Maps, Strategy Framework and Action plans for Hill side Road Network of Rangamati, Khagrachhari, Bandarban Hill District, Bangladesh
This study intends to investigate the existing soil and rock conditions, soil profiles and engineering characteristics of the subsurface conditions through a comprehensive geological, geophysical, engineering and geotechnical field survey. It also aims to provide overall guidance and technical inputs and review the execution process of all major components. Additionally, it will prepare a detailed landslide inventory, assess potential hazards, landslide risk, and vulnerability, and suggest mitigation strategies. The project also contains a socioeconomic analysis of the landslide’s consequences to conduct risk mapping and recommend integrating risk management into the planning, construction, and governance of Bangladesh’s road network in the hill tracts.
