Environmental Flows for the Sundarbans Ecosystem

CEGIS in association with Jadavpur University, India conducted the research on assessment of environmental flows for the Sundarbans Ecosystem. E-Flows describes the quantity, timing and quality of water flows required to sustain freshwater and estuarine ecosystems and the human livelihoods and well-being that depend upon these ecosystems. This research focuses on interpretation of inter-relation between flow hydrology and ecosystem functions of different components forest (Sundari Tree), fisheries (Hilsha), aquatic animal (Ganges Dolphin and Irrawaddy Dolphin), river connectivity and navigation.
