Digital Innovation 2011 Awards:

m-Health Championship Prize

In National Digital Innovation Award 2011 CEGIS participated with on m-health and obtained championship award. It was development of mobile and GIS based Avian Bird Flu monitoring system. An SMS Gateway was developed to get the bird flu information in data server through the SMS Gateway. The data updates are instant on GIS maps with information of bird flu.


m-Environment Prize

A SMS based Community Flood Information System (CFIS) was developed to warn the people residing in a flood prone village area (150 km2). The System translated the forecasted river flood to floodplain flood in the study area and send those information by SMS in terms of symbols (+, -). One '+' sign indicates flood will rise by one 'bighat' (local unit) and one '-' sign indicates the flood level will reduce by one 'bighat' by next two days.
