Ms. Rifat Jahan Sadia has been working in CEGIS, which is a public trust under the Ministry of Water Resources of the Government of Bangladesh. She has been working in the field of climate change impact and adaptation strategies, investment planning, water resources engineering and management and development, environmental management, flood risk assessment, river erosion, natural resources management and evaluation and monitoring activities.
She was extensively involved at different capacities in national level projects such as the formulation Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100 (BDP2100), Water Management Improvement Project (WMIP) and Coastal Embankment Improvement Project (CEIP), Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) etc. as well monitoring projects , river morphology, Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies comprehensively.
Experienced in hydro-meteorological data analysis, water quality analysis, assessing risk and vulnerabilities due to climate change, technical report writing, compilation, formatting reports and preparation of power point presentation for different phases regarding various projects.
She is also capable of project management and quality control as well as research work and co-coordinating project activities with good interpersonal and communication skills.
