Dr. Alam has been working in CEGIS for more than twelve years. He has experience in the field of Environmental Impact Assessment as a project leader. He also has experience in preparation of environmental reports (IEE, EIA & EMP); assessment of the environmental impact on fisheries resources for coastal polder development; preparation of Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for fisheries resources; monthly monitoring of water quality of wetlands; pathogenic bacteria and E. Coli analysis; sediment toxic metals analysis; pesticides analysis for water; bio-diversity survey of plankton and aquatic plants; environmental hazard analysis; community risk assessment; risk reduction action plan; climate change vulnerability assessment and adaptation measures; and maintaining liaison with government and non-government officials. He has received training in the environment and natural resource management.
