Career Summary

Mr. Saha has thirteen years of working experience in various ecological and social researches in this organization as an Ecologist, in Ecology, Forestry and Biodiversity Division. During this period, he has been engaged in different IEE/ EIA studies as well as different sectors (i.e. Water sector, Power sector, Agricultural sector, Housing sector), research, evaluation, training, and planning projects. Additionally experienced in community mobilization, Coastal afforestation plan, Plant species composition, abundance, density and frequency analysis, different research methods, tools and techniques such as Vegetation Survey on Quadrate method, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Community Risk Assessment (CRA), Value Chain Mapping, Satellite image analysis,  KII, PCM, RRA, case study and so on.

Area of Interest/Expertise

Having expertise in Vegetation Survey, Plantation plan and economic cost analysis, Canopy coverage with DBH, Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) study, GCP and Geo referencing, conducting and supervising initial RAP survey, Topographic Survey, Dredge Spoil management and volume calculation, Transmission Line survey and alternative route analysis,  Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) development of research design and methodology, Development of questionnaire and thematic framework, FGD, Modify, test, Natural Hazards and Coastal Vulnerability assessment, verify and analyzing of research data preparing models for  ecosystem services, ecological impact assessments etc. are the strong area of interest.
