Career Summary

Mr. Lasker has been with CEGIS since April 2018, bringing more than 5 years of experience at CEGIS, specializing in satellite image processing, analysis, and classification. He is proficient in a wide range of geospatial and remote sensing software, including Erdas Imagine, ENVI, SNAP, Google Earth Engine, ArcGIS, QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, and SuperMap. He has served as a trainer in numerous capacity-building programs, delivering instruction on ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, Remote Sensing, Google Earth, and GPS for professionals from organizations such as DSCC, SCC, and the Bangladesh Power Development Board. Mr. Lasker has contributed to multiple national and international publications and has presented his research at several conferences. Recognized as a promising geographer, he maintains a strong research interest in the application of Remote Sensing and GIS in different sectors, like climate change, environmental studies, and disaster management, and possesses extensive knowledge of both national and global environmental issues and scientific perspectives.
