Md. Hasan Sabit is a Research Consultant in the Ecology, Forestry and Biodiversity Division at CEGIS, bringing over four years of specialized expertise in ecological assessments, environmental impact analysis, and climate adaptation strategies. He holds an M.Sc. in Agroforestry and Environmental Science from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University and a B.Sc. in Agriculture from Khulna University. His work involves climate vulnerability assessments and ecosystem-based adaptation strategies, supported by technical proficiency in SPSS, GIS, and field research.
Mr. Sabit has contributed to major projects funded by prestigious international organizations, including ADB, the World Bank, UNDP, and the Department of Environment. His work focuses on Bangladesh's most vulnerable ecosystems, particularly the Barind Tract and Haor wetland regions, supporting national climate adaptation planning and sustainable resource management initiatives. His research experience encompasses environmental baseline studies, climate risk assessments, and the development of adaptation portfolios. Fluent in Bengali and English, he prepares technical reports for diverse projects across the water, agriculture, and forestry sectors.
