Md. Abdur Rahman is working as a Research Consultant in Climate Change and Disaster Management Division for the Center for Environment and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS). Since May 2022, he has been collaborated with CEGIS on a variety of initiatives aimed at reducing the risk of disaster and the effects of climate change. Previously He has been involved in several projects in Water Resources and Climate Change Division, such as “Climate change vulnerability assessment for 9 LIUPC cities”. Also engaged in “Identification and Revitalization of water sources for sustainable water resources management of CHT”. “Feasibility study on for rehabilitation/renovation of Chandpur Irrigation Project” and “Integrated water resource management of Haor Areas in Sunamganj District”.
Currently he has been working on Re-excavation, Renovation and Development of Khals for Mitigating Water Logging Problems in Chittagong City. Also he is working on Coastal Embankment Improvement Project (CEIP) phase-II. Furthermore, he has been involved in estimating several river erosion and accretion also engaged in several set of climatic data analysis. He has working experience on planning, structural designing, and also estimating structural design cost of those projects. He has working experience in Arc GIS, Auto CAD, ETABS.
