A.S.M Julker Naem has been working with CEGIS since July 2020 on different projects related to water resources, hydrology, hydrologic and hydrodynamic modelling, and climate change and disaster risk reduction related activities. He has working experience in hydrological analysis, hydrodynamic and hydrological modeling in software like HEC-RAS, HEC-HMMS,SOBEK, SWMM, SRH 2D, WMS, GMS, CROPWAT, etc. Recently he was involved in the preparation of Sector Action Plan for Environment and Climate Change (SAPECC) sector,Climate Change risk assessment for the haor region, formulated Disaster Risk Reduction guideline for LGED, etc. He is also involved in prestigious national projects like the Formulation of National Adaptation Plan (NAP) in Bangladesh funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF), City Level Climate Vulnerabilities, and Climate Resilient Infrastructure Assessment in Bangladesh under Livelihoods Improvement for Urban Poor Communities (LIUPC) project, Update and Enhancing NDC, preparing training modules for the project titled Training on CCA mainstreaming and Bankable Project Development Skills, etc. He was also involved in international projects like “Preparation of Storm Water Management for Thimphu Thromde” where he developed the SWMM model and analyzed criticality and proposed best management practices. He is also involved as a Disaster Risk Management Expert in Digital Risk Information Portal Development for Bangladesh.
