Regional Hydrodynamic Model
CEGIS has developed 1-dimensional hydrodynamic models for the Hydrological Regions. SOBEK Modeling Suite, developed by Deltares in the Netherlands has been used to develop these models. Based on regional settings, these models take into account the upstream transboundary inflow received by the river systems, via both measured data as well as input from the GBM Basins Model. These models also take into account tidal flow from the Bay of Bengal in the numerous coastal river systems. These models are all calibrated and validated with relevant data, and have been extensively applied to develop concrete consensus regarding Integrated Water Resources Management initiatives. These models have aided both planning and implementation phases of many projects.
