Mr. Khan has been serving in multidisciplinary Geological and Environmental projects for more than 5 years at several Bangladeshi and USA institutions. He joined as a junior consultant at CEGIS, a public trust under the Ministry of Water Resources of Bangladesh in June 3rd 2018.
Mr. Khan has been serving as Geologist, Environment specialist, Hydrogeological and Meteorological Expert for Site selection, Feasibility studies, Initial Environmental Examination, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment including intellectual recommendation for geophysical investigations at different funded projects.
Mr. Khan’s key responsibilities included but not limited to Literature review, Geological/ Hydrological field survey, Data mining, Studies of Geological maps, Well logs, cross-sections, Seismicity, Meteorology, Surface and groundwater hydrology, Water quality; Air quality; Noise, Statistical analysis of long term hydrological and meteorological data, Vulnerability assessment to Geological and hydro-meteorological hazards and disasters at project sites, Preparation of layouts for core sampling/ geotechnical survey, Groundwater modeling, Climate change forecasting and risk assessment, GIS analysis & mapping, Grant proposal writing, Technical report writing, and Workshop co-ordination.
