Career Summary

Mr. Habib has been working with CEGIS since 2020 on various projects related to water resources, climate change, and disaster risk reduction-related activities. As part of the CEGIS team, currently, he is engaged with two very important projects being implemented by the Department of Environment with the support from UNDP namely “Formulation of National Adaptation Plan (NAP) and Capacity Building in Bangladesh financed by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) project and “Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC)” project. Prior to joining CEGIS, Mr. Talha worked for TH Cologne University, Germany contracted by UNDP Bangladesh to support the Sustainable Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA) in conducting the National Solar Irradiation Study of Bangladesh. His main tasks included ensuring data transmission by installing 7 monitoring stations across the country along with technical support for regular maintenance of those 7 stations. He also worked with the installment of the micro-hydro project at Bandarban, the Solar Mini-grid project at Monpura Upazilla and the Solar Irrigation Pump Project at Jashore and Chuadanga. Mr. Talha is specialized in arranging technical events, field-level data collection, and preparing reports and communication materials. Mr. Talha is maintaining liaison with UNDP and some of the key government bodies like DoE and MoEFCC on behalf of CEGIS to implement mentioned projects.
